Winter Begins

Today is the first official day of winter...the gross riding begins!

Actually, I don't think anyone would argue that it's felt like winter for a few weeks now - it's been snowy, icy, cold, and muddy out. Blah!! Gross riding has been here for awhile.

With holiday schedules, cold and wet conditions too, I understand that lessons will be hit-or-miss or put on hold until the weather improves. I am still willing and able to provide lessons for those of you interested however, and will work around mother nature. Reminder: I still ride in the rain - just not bitter cold temps or anything too windy.

Give a call/email if you'd like to squeeze lessons in on days forecasted to be a bit nicer and warmer than most.

Keep warm and happy everyone! Merry Christmas, Happy New Year to all!

October 2009 Update

The months are flying and it's crazy to believe we're almost to November! Where has the time gone??

Wanted to send out a friendly reminder to everyone to start bundling up for lessons. The weather is getting colder and the daylight is getting less. Make sure you bring appropriate clothes to ride in to keep yourselves warm. Don't bring anything you don't want dirty of course.

With the onslaught of fall comes up-and-down weather issues. I typically ride in overcast, drizzly weather. Some of you will remember riding in the slight snow of last winter - it wasn't all that bad, right?? =) Sprinkles I can handle but anything harder just gets too miserable to ride in. If the wind is blowing more than a slight breeze, no lessons that day either - the wind is the WORST! I will try and be as prompt as possible in calling you that day to confirm and reschedule, just to make sure we don't miss getting in your riding time. The horses always need their workouts!

If you have any questions or concerns about your lesson days, conditions, or anything at all - just be in touch. Thank you everyone!
